TOONSPEAK YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATRE

Artistic Director

Skye created ‘Word of Mouth’ – the spoken word project for young people interested in performing their own writing. With a large cast of mor than 25 11-24yr olds, she wrote, directed and devised the play Lost & Found which explored the question,

‘can you lose what you don’t first gain?’

Until moving on to work as writer-in-residence for Wigtown Book Festival, Skye also directed the large-site specific work Seven Signs – devising with a cast of young company members who were working around the theme of seven deadly sins, and then what would happen if the Earth itself decided humans needed sectioning. Played to audiences in a basement space of Merchant City Festival square.
